Russian E-visa for Bulgarian Citizens

The Russian Federation has introduced new electronic visas this year to promote travel to different regions in the country. Nationals of several countries are now eligible to apply for online visas for the Far East District and the regions of Kaliningrad and a St. Petersburg. Bulgarian citizens are amongst the foreign visitors who are able to apply for all 3 of the above eVisas.

Obtain A Visa for Travel to Russia from Bulgaria

If you are a Bulgarian national holding a valid passport, you can easily apply for the Russian eVisas. To obtain an electronic visa for St Petersburg, Kaliningrad, or the Far East, you can complete the Russia E-visa application form with your personal details and passport information.

The launch of the electronic visa to enter the country is part of the Russian Federation’s plans to simplify the process of getting a visa to visit its territory.  Once approved, the eVisas grant a maximum stay of 8 days in the selected region. The validity of the online visa is 30 days from the day it is issued. All types of Russian online visas are single entry visa, which means that if you leave the Russian region, you’ll need to obtain a new visa to re-enter it.

Holders of the Kaliningrad visa and St Petersburg eVisa from Bulgaria must enter and leave through a checkpoint in the same constituent entity of Russia as the one through which they entered. Another aspect to consider when obtaining the Russian visa for Bulgarian citizens is the purpose of the visit. The eVisa for Russia allows visitors from Bulgaria to come into the Russian Federation for tourism, business, or humanitarian purposes.

The online visa application makes it possible for Bulgarian citizens to get the Russian electronic visa in a short period of time.
