Russian eVisa for French Citizens

E-visa Application for French

The list of reasons why tourists decide to make Russia their next holiday destination is seemingly bottomless: art lovers are attracted by the magnificent Imperial architecture and the world-famous literature, while those passionate about nature will easily left speechless by Russian landscapes — including the planet’s largest forest region and a diverse wildlife that includes bears, tigers, and leopards.

Russian regions are very diverse, not only when it comes to scenery: more than 160 ethnicities are represented in Russia, and Russian people speak more than 100 languages although Russian is the official one).

French citizens need a visa in order to visit Russia. Until now, obtaining one involved submitting hard copies of the required visa documentation at the nearest embassy or consulate. Thankfully, there is a new way to get a visa to Russia that is quick, easy, and does not require the applicant to go through a Russian travel agency or embassy.

Types of Russian Visa for French Nationals

There are 3 types of tourist visas available to French travelers. The traditional tourist visa requires applicants to visit the nearest Russian embassy or consulate in person or to hire a Russian travel agency. The new evisas, on the other hand, can be applied for online with a quick and straightforward application process and allow tourists to travel to specific Russian regions.
