Russia is one of the most up-and-coming countries for tourism, and it’s no secret why: from the bustling cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, to the vast nature of Siberia, and every city in between, there is always something to see, do, and try in Russia.
Thanks to a new initiative set forth by the Russian government, traveling to Russia just got easier. By introducing three new electronic visas (eVisas), travelers from more than 50 countries can take advantage and apply for a Russian E-visa from the comfort of their own home. This includes Indonesian citizens, which makes applying for a Russian visa for indonesian citizens easier than ever – and we’ll show you how.
Types of E-visa to Travel to Russia
There are currently three different types of eVisas available for travelers holding an Indonesian passport. They include the following options:

E-visa Application Form from Indonesia
The process to apply for a Russian eVisa from Indonesia is very simple. All that is required is a device with an internet connection, your passport, a recent digital photo of the applicant, and less than an hour to fill out the application.
The first step is to start the Russian eVisa application form. The form will ask you for basic information such as the traveler’s full name, nationality, passport information, contact information, and so on. Afterwards, you will need to upload a digital photo of yourself, pay the visa application fee, and wait for a notification of approval. Please be sure to double check all information on the application form and make sure that it is correct and up to date.
Please note that you can apply for a Russian E-visa for Indonesian citizens between four to twenty days before your arrival in Russia.
After you have submitted your application, it takes an average of 2 to 4 business days to receive a response. In rare cases, it is possible that the processing of your Russian visa application may take longer than expected due to public holidays or other delays. Your approved Russian eVisa will be sent to you at the email address that you provided on the application form.
