Russian Visa for Italian Citizens

E-visa Application from Italy

Italians can boast some of the most picturesque cities in the world, filled with stunning architecture and world-class museums. Yet, they find in Russia a worthy rival. Russia is home to 29 UNESCO World Heritage Sites — from volcanoes and Siberian lakes to the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square.

If you are an Italian citizen and are interested in traveling to Russia, please note that Italian nationals need a Russian visa before they can legally enter the country.

Thankfully, there is a new way to get a visa to Russia that is quick, easy, and does not require the applicant to go through a Russian travel agency or embassy.

Types of Russian Visa for Italian Nationals

There are 3 types of tourist visas available to Italian travelers. While the traditional tourist visa can be only applied for in-person by providing the nearest Russian embassy or consulate with hard copies of all the necessary documentation, the more recent Russian online visas (or eVisas) allow travelers to apply for their visa online and travel to specific Russian regions.

The areas that can be entered with a Russian eVisa from Italy are:
