The country of Russia appears on a map as if it stretches half the globe, ranging from Europe all the way to the edges of Asia. While size is certainly of interest to travelers, it is not just its sheer size that attracts visitors. Famous for its vibrant cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, which have contributed greatly to western ideals of art and culture, as well one-of-a-kind natural landscapes, it is no wonder why Russia remains one of the most popular places to visit on earth. For any passport holders from Monaco wishing to visit the country, it is important to remember that it is necessary to obtain a visa before arriving in Russia.
There are various options for citizens from Monaco to acquire a visa to travel to Russia. However, thanks to a new system of electronic visas (or eVisas) there are now region-specific options for passport holders from Monaco to obtain permission to enter Russia without having to visit a consulate or embassy in their home country. The eVisas are filled out and granted entirely online, streamlining the process to an average waiting time of just four days. It’s still imperative to remember that although the process is simpler and faster, it remains a requirement to have some type of visa before arriving in Russa.
