Russia is a natural wonderland of exciting cities, delicious food, and plenty of things to do and see. From the bustling metropolitan cities of Moscow to the romantic canals of St. Petersburg, awe-inspiring architecture of Kazan, and the remote wilderness of Siberia, any traveler will find themselves in this vast country.
However, before you can book your ticket to Russia, it is important to note that all Portuguese citizens must have a visa before they can legally enter the country. Thanks to a new initiative set forth by the Russian ministry of tourism, obtaining a Russian visa is now easier than ever thanks to a new electronic visa (E-visa) program. This article will tell you everything you need to know in order to get a Russian evisa for Portuguese citizens, including the process, requirements, and more.
Types of E-visa to Travel to Russia
There are currently three different types of Russian visas that are available for Portuguese citizens, and they include the following:
St Petersburg eVisa for Portuguese
The St. Petersburg Russian visa for Portuguese citizens allows travelers to enter the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region for the sole purposes of tourism, business, or humanitarian volunteering. The visa is valid for 30 days, which makes it convenient and easy to apply for before your trip. This visa allows travelers to stay for a maximum of 8 days. If travelers wish to visit other oblasts, they must obtain the proper visa to do so.

Afterwards, the form will ask you to upload a clear and colored digital photo of yourself, pay the application fee, and wait for the outcome of your Russian visa. Please make sure to use an email that you frequently check, as the Russian evisa correspondence will be sent there.
