Serbian travelers who are hoping to get a taste of what the vast and beautiful country of Russia has to offer now have three options for doing so. Russian travel authorities have provided distinct online visa options for three popular regions of Russia, allowing Serbians the chance to experience a more intimate trip to Russia.

Types of Russia eVisas for Serbian Nationals

The Russia eVisa for Serbian passport holders is available to Serbian nationals who complete the online application process. There are three types of Russian eVisas that are available, and the one that each Serbian applicant selects is dependent upon their travel plans and needs.

By 2021, Russia intends to implement a new visa application system, moving all tourist visa applications online. However, until that time, Serbians may still apply for a tourist visa in person at their local consulate or embassy and receive permission to stay in Russia for up to 30 days.

With the current Russia eVisas in place, Serbian travelers can apply for travel to the three following regions for periods of up to 8 days:

Far Eastern Federal District Visa For Serbians

This visa is granted only to Serbian travelers who will be visiting the Far East region of Russia for tourism or humanitarian work. This visa does not allow travelers to visit any other regions of Russia. It is valid for up to eight days, making it ideal for a short vacation.

After the Far Eastern Federal District visa has been issued, holders have up to 30 days to enter the country before the visa is invalidated.

The Far East Federal District ports of entry for Serbians are Buryatia, Primorsky Krai, Kamchatka Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Zabaykalsky Krai, Sakhalin Oblast, Amur Oblast, and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

Each applicant is required to have:

A valid passport with at least six months of validity and one blank page.
Medical insurance for the duration of the trip.
Recent passport-sized photos.

Far East Visa Information

Kaliningrad Oblast Visa for Serbians

The Kaliningrad Oblast Visa for Serbians only allows holders of the visa to travel to this particular region for up to eight days. Any travelers who wish to visit other regions of Russia must have a separate visa. The visa is valid for up to 30 days once it has been issued.

The ports of entry for Serbians entering Kaliningrad Oblast are:

Air: Khrabrovo airport (Kaliningrad city) Sea: Baltiysk, Kaliningrad city, Svetly
Rail: Mamonovo, Sovetsk
Road: Bagrationovsk, Gusev

Kaliningrad Visa Information

St Petersburg Leningrad e-Visa for Serbian Nationals

Serbian travelers who want to visit St Petersburg and Leningrad for tourism or humanitarian work can apply for this eVisa to stay for up to eight days. The visa is valid for up to 30 days before travelers enter Russia. Travelers are only allowed to stay in the St Petersburg Leningrad area with this visa.

Air: Pulkovo airport
Land: Ivangorod, Svetogorsk, Torfjanovka, Brusnychnoe
Sea: Marine Station, Passenger Port of St. Petersburg, Vysotsk
Pedestrian: Ivangorod

The requirements for the St Petersburg Leningrad eVisa for Serbians are:

A passport with at least one blank page and six months of validity.
A digitalized passport-sized color photograph.
A valid email address.
A debit or credit card to pay the application fee.

How to Apply for a Russian e-Visa From Serbia

The first step in applying for a Russian eVisa is deciding which visa option is the correct one for the needs of the traveler. Along with the documents listed in the previous sections, travelers must complete certain requirements when submitting their application form:

  • Passport details
  • Contact details
  • Address

Once this information is gathered, Serbians can access the Russia eVisa online application form and pay the processing fee.
