Types of Russian Visa for Turkish Citizens

Turkish, there now are 3 types of online tourist visas that they can apply for to travel to specific regions in Russia: the eVisa for Kaliningrad exclave, the Russian eVisa for the Far East regions, and the eVisa for St Petersburg and Leningrad region. When filling in the online application form, Turkish citizens are required to select the eVisa for the region in Russia they wish to visit. It will take around 2 to 4 days to process each electronic visa. Upon receiving the visa, the travelers will be able to travel to the Far Eastern regions, St Petersburg, or Kaliningrad Oblast; however, they will have to exit Russia from a port of entry of the same region they entered from.

Permits travel to regions in the Russian Far East for Turkish citizens for tourism, business, or humanitarian purposes. Allows a maximum stay of 8 days in Far Eastern territories, is valid for 30 days of the date of issue.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A RUSSIA EVISA FROM TURKEY?

Turkish citizens can apply for electronic visas for Russia online from anywhere in the world — as long as they have access to a reliable internet connection. The online application is designed to only take minutes. The applicant needs to:

  • Fill out the eVisa application form in all its parts as accurately as possible
  • Upload copies of the necessary documents, including their valid Turkish passport
  • Pay the application fee with a credit or debit card

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A VISA FOR RUSSIA FROM TURKEY?

After the traveler has submitted the entire online application they can expect to hear back on the status of their application within 2 to 4 business days. It is possible that the processing of the traveler’s Russian visa application takes longer than that, especially if there is additional processing required.

The eVisa application only takes minutes in itself. Once you submit the application, the Russian authorities will take between 2 to 4 business days to approve your request. Some applications may take longer — that is especially the case when there’s missing or incorrect information.

Once the eVisa application has been approved, you’ll receive your granted visa at the email address you have provided. The visa is valid for 30 days since the date of issue (as to say, the day you were sent the approved visa).

During this time, eVisa holders are allowed to travel to the specific Russian region the electronic visa applies to. Remember to print your approved eVisa and carry it with you to the Russian border.
