Types of Russian Visa for Turkish Citizens
Turkish citizens intending to travel to most parts of Russia for tourism will have to obtain a Russian tourist visa from an embassy or consulate. However, there now are two types of online tourist visas that they can apply for to travel to specific regions in Russia the eVisa for Kaliningrad exclave and the Russian eVisa for the Far East regions. When filling in the online application form, Turkish citizens are required to select the eVisa for the region in Russia they wish to visit. It will take around 4 days to process each electronic visa. Russia eVisa for Turkish Travelers
If traveling to regions other than the Far East of Russia, travelers will have to apply for and obtain a regular Russian tourist visa. Travelers will have to begin the process applying for the visa by creating a travel itinerary. This involves looking for things to do while in Russia, places they could visit, and also looking for accommodation for their stay during their visit. The traveler will have to contact different Russian businesses catering to their travel needs and make reservations with them to request a tourist invitation.
Once the traveler receives the tourist invitation from a Russian business, they can then use that to apply for the Russian tourist visa online. After completing the application for the Russian tourist visa, the traveler will need to print the application and take it with them along with other supporting documents to the Russian Embassy/Consulate in Turkey.
